Evocation and Attraction of Cultural Heritage – Christian Antiquity and Turkish Bath for Cultural Tourism

Expected results of the project:

  • To contribute to cultural and tourism development through joint valorisation and promotion of the immovable cultural heritage of the area;
  • Archaeological excavation and conservation of the Tumbarice archaeological locality in Berane and Turkish Bath in Peje;
  • Implementation of science and 3D technology into the processing, storing, presentation and preservation of selected immovable cultural heritage monuments data;
  • Stimulating additional visits by tourists and reviving local communities from the revenue;
  • Promotion of cultural heritage for tourism;
  • Digital and printed material for long term promotion of tourism in both cities.

Target groups: Local, national, and international Tourism Service Providers; Municipalities; Cultural and Education institutions; Religious institutions; Professional/Research organizations (archaeology, history, architecture, civil engineering); Media; Local community; State institutions.

Project area:
Berane, Montenegro and Peje/Pec, Kosovo.

Impact of the project:

To contribute in enhancement of the economic competitiveness of the area through increase in area’s cultural tourism potential.
