Expected results of the project:
- Increased professional skills and competencies of unemployed youth and women in the cross-border region to match the employment demands in the tourism and hospitality sector;
- Developed self-employment / entrepreneurship skills – strategic planning, networking, marketing and sales – among young people and women in the cross-border region in the area of agriculture, gastronomy and traditional crafts;
- Established a cross-border brand for the promotion of local products and services, with the aim of improving competitiveness, promoting self-employment, as well as the preconditions for further employment in priority sectors in the CB region.
Target groups: Jobseekers with low level of education or qualifications and skills not matching labour market demand, youth and women (age 15 – 29) seeking employment – minimum 70 at least 50% women, minimum 25% find employment; Businesses owners/ employers.
Project area:
Montenegro: Andrijevica, Berane, BijeloPolje, Gusinje, Kolašin, Petnjica, Mojkovac, Plav and Rožaje; Kosovo: Pejë/Peć, Istog/Istok, Klinë/Klina, Junik, Deçan/Dečani, and Gjakovë/Đakovica.
Impact of the project:
The project will raise the employability level of vulnerable groups, women and youth, living in the cross-border region – both those who lack specific skills to find employment and those who have business ideas but lack the necessary knowledge to realise them. At the same time, it will provide an opportunity for employers from the tourism/hospitality sector to train and thus obtain the employees who match their needs.
