The Cultural Renaissance from Skadar Lake to Kosovo – TIME TRAVEL

Expected results of the project:

  • Cross-border tourist cluster formed with the aim to create a recognizable thematic tourist offer “TIME TRAVEL” which connect 5 key heritage sites in KOS to 5 heritage sites in MNE;
  • Light visitor and access infrastructure arranged to support the development of key products (sign posting and heritage interpretation routes for tourism purposes);
  • Built capacity of target groups regarding development and management of identified heritage assets and its potential to spill off and improve economic and social environment of CB area;
  • Joint marketing campaign implemented.

Target groups: Regional, local and central authorities; Tourism Boards (TB)/departments and their employees; National Parks, Institutions for the management of natural and cultural heritage; Private operators in tourism; Rural households and unemployed persons; Cultural and folk associations and institutions and other civil society organizations working on heritage.

Project area:
Municipalities of National Park “Accursed Mountains”, Kosovo: Decan/Decan, Peje/Pec and Kline/Klina; Montenegro: Municipalities of National parks Skadar Lake, Biogradska Gora and Prokletije including Rožaje, Petnjica and Ulcinj.

Impact of the project:

Increase in the number of visitors to the cross-border area; Cultural tourism offer diversified with new & unique products and services promoted locally and internationally through various promotional activities; Project stakeholders capacitated through trainings provided by the project in the area of cultural heritage management and promotion.
