Young NEETs: new opportunities for work and increased employability – “UNEETED”

Expected results of the project:

  • Improved social position of young people who are not in Education, Employment or Training (NEETs) in the selected municipalities in Montenegro and Kosovo, through enhancing their employability and connecting them with potential employers;
  • Conducted comprehensive ethnographic research among young NEETs that will serve as milestone in all future development activities and policies;
  • Networking of young NEETs and various stakeholders established through a specific platform dedicated to them as well as through cross-border networking and promotion of labour mobility;
  • Knowledge and skills of young NEETs in active job seeking in selected municipalities improved;
  • A share of young NEETs succeeds in finding a job;
  • Communication and cooperation between young NEETs and local institutions is established and provides a basis for further steps towards improving the position of young NEETs.

Target groups: Young NEETs, Representatives of local and national governments.

Project area:
Montenegro, Northern region – Mojkovac, Bijelo Polje, Rožaje, Plav, Gusinje; Kosovo, Western region – Pejë/Peć, Junik, Deçan/Dečani.

Impact of the project:

Enhanced employability and improved acces to labor market will better the social position of young NEETs in the selected municipalities in Montenegro and Kosovo. Raised capacities of local communities and local stakeholders in understanding the importance of young NEETs’ inclusion in the society and the contribution of their activation in achieving strategic objectives at both local and national level.
