Capacity building activities for potential applicants within IPA III Montenegro – Kosovo

The Joint Technical Secretariat, in cooperation with the Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro, Ministry of Finance of Montenegro – Directorate for Finance, Contracting and Implementation of EU Assistance Funds (CFCU) and Ministry of Local Government Administration of the Republic of Kosovo, organised a three-day training on Project cycle management for the potential applicants from the eligible Programme area of Montenegro and Kosovo.

In the period June-July 2024, as part of the preparatory activities before the publication of the 1st CfP within IPA III CBC Programme Montenegro-Kosovo, four trainings on drafting of project proposals in line with the EU rules were organized.

Namely, two Project Cycle Management trainings were dedicated only for local authorities and were held in Bar in period 11 – 13 June, while for local authorities from Kosovo was held in Peja in period 3 – 5 July. The other two trainings were dedicated to other potential applicants from Montenegro and Kosovo, i.e. one was organized in Berane in period 19 – 21 June 2024 and one in Istog in period 10 – 12 July 2024. The aim of the trainings was to develop and increase the capacities of the local authorities and other potential applicants from the eligible Programme area of Montenegro and Kosovo for preparation of the project proposals. The capacity building activities were specifically designed to prepare the potential applicants for the upcoming CfP within the IPA III CBC Programme Montenegro – Kosovo 2021-2027 and were attended by 59 participants.
